These are my handmade/hand-dyed pure silk strings, cords and ribbons The strings are bias cut rouleau pure silk habotai/pongee which I stitch and turn. The cords are several thickness of pure silk thread/fibres which are overstitched with silk thread. Ribbons are made from fine pure silk chiffon and crepe de chine, are about 1/2" wide and are stitched with the finest Italian silk thread -  the ends are left unfinished. All are fast dyed/hand painted with procion (permanent) dyes and washed before despatch. I iron the ribbons but if you require a more natural appearance just dampen the ribbon and hang to dry.  I don't iron the strings as they tend to flatten out when they are hung and I think they look better au natural!
